Dr Dionysios Kehagias is a Principal Researcher (grade B) with the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). His research interests lie on intelligent software systems and algorithms, software engineering for AI applications, software security, service-oriented architectures, big data analytics, cloud and edge computing, Internet of Things. Dr Kehagias served from 2000 to 2004 as a research assistant at the Intelligent Systems & Software Engineering Labgroup (founding member) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), conducting Phd research. After receiving his PhD (2006), he worked at CERTH/ITI, as a research associate and postdoc researcher until 2016. In 2016 he was elected associate researcher (grade C) in CERTH/ITI. He was promoted to the position of Principal Research (Grade B) in October 2020. His research activity over the last 15 years was published in more than 80 publications in scientific journals and international conferences, as well as 6 book chapters and he has received 4 awards. He has also participated in more than 30 research and development projects funded both by the European Commission and the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (Greek national funding agency). Dr Kehagias also worked as an adjunct lecturer for two universities in Greece, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH, 2007-2008) and Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH, 2008-2009). He was also faculty member of the MSc in Web Science (2011-2013), and the MSc in Complex Systems and Networks (2014-2016), both at AUTH.
