The aim of GraDA is the development of an integrated system for the control of pathogens and mainly fungi in the production and distribution of table grapes through the combined application of molecular techniques and models for predicting the growth behavior of pathogens. The implementation of the system will lead to the production of products of high quality and safety, while simultaneously extending the life of the products during transport and sale. Specific objectives of the project include: a) The molecular identification and mapping of the presence of fungi both during cultivation and in the final products with the aim of identifying endemic strains and finding resistance to pesticides; b) The collection of visual and ground sensor data, as well as meteorological data from the field for the assessment of grape pathogens; c) The development and evaluation of models for predicting the growth of fungi in relation to environmental conditions that will lead to the assessment of its behavior in the supply chain and, by extension, the life of the products, significantly reducing the need for sampling and d) The creation of an web application for presenting and visualizing grape data in a user-friendly manner.
