CYCLOPS

The CYCLOPS project targets the enhancement of data integration and management across diverse and evolving sources, aligning with the European Strategy for Data to foster a unified data market. Focusing on future EU data spaces in tourism and mobility, the green deal, public procurement, and manufacturing, CYCLOPS introduces a novel framework for comprehensive data lifecycle governance. Utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI), through AIOps and DataOps, alongside Knowledge Graphs (KGs) and a human-in-the-loop approach, it automates data processing pipelines, aiming to break down data silos and foster interoperability in line with FAIR principles. Through its specific use cases, CYCLOPS validates its architecture to ensure effectiveness across sectors, supporting the strategic goals of enhancing data sovereignty and innovation within the EU.

ITI-CERTH has a key role through the collaboration of two specialized groups: the MultiMoDal Data Fusion and Analytics Group (M4D) and the Visual & Augmented Reality Laboratory (VarLab). M4D leads the efforts in Work Package 3, overseeing the development of AIOps, DataOps and Data and Execution Abstraction modules, bringing its expertise in multimodal data fusion, AI algorithms, and data pipeline optimization. Concurrently, VarLab mainly supports Work Package 6, targeting the Manufacturing Data Space for the Printing Industry, leveraging its strengths in machine/deep learning analytics, semantics, and data space technologies. Together, M4D and VarLab enhance CYCLOPS by providing advanced solutions for data management and AI analytics, driving the project’s objectives of improved efficiency, scalability, and integration within the European data ecosystem.
