ActiVatorR

ActiVatoR aims at developing an interactive and immersive educational experience by implementing an integrated platform that consists of a prototype mechanical simulator and interactive virtual reality applications in the domain on Science, Technology and Culture. In addition to controlling the viewing angle that existing VR applications offer, the proposed platform will be able to apply physical feedback to the users through its mechanical prototype, so they experience a really immersive experience through the educational process. The proposed project aims to bring together technology providers exhibiting significant excellence on research and scientific fields relevant to virtual reality and mechanical engineering, along with cultural one of the most outstanding cultural and scientific organization of Greece in order to bring the public closer to Science. The most innovative feature of the proposed system comprises the development of 4D virtual technology. The envisaged prototype will be demonstrated at NOESIS science centre and technology museum.
