Nikolaos Kladovasilakis is a highly qualified mechanical engineer with extensive experience in industrial design and additive manufacturing (3D printing). He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2017. He obtained a Master’s degree in Strategic Product Design with a specialization in Industrial Design and Innovation from the International Hellenic University (IHU) in 2020. Furthermore, He completed a Ph.D. in Additive Manufacturing and Materials Science in IHU at 2023. His doctoral research focused on the investigation and development of novel architected materials for advanced topology optimization, utilizing additive manufacturing technologies. His main scientific fields include additive manufacturing, topology optimization, architected materials, materials characterization, and finite element analyses. Since January 2020, he has been working as a research associate at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Center for Research and Technology, Hellas (CERTH). Throughout his career, he has actively participated in at least five research projects (ODYSSEAS, BladeWorks, etc.) and contributed to the development of two spin-off companies (ΟΖΖΙΕ IKE, RETOucH-HS IKE). His research results are evident through his numerous research articles published in reputable journals and his active participation in various international conferences.
