Makrynioti Maria is a graduate of the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering, of International Hellenic University . Her thesis was on developing an algorithm for detecting fake news in the Greek language. Since April 2023 she is working as a research associate at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas. (CERTH).
