Mrs. Maria-Eirini Pegia

Maria Pegia received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics of Computation from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2016 and 2017, respectively. She previously worked as a Software Engineer at BETA CAE Systems (2017-2019) before joining CERTH-ITI as a research associate in 2019. Since 2023, she’s been working on her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Reykjavík University in Iceland with a focus on deep learning methods for multimodal media retrieval.
