George Lazaridis received his B.Sc. diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece in December 2014. In the context of his 6-month compulsory internship, he was accepted by Kingston University London as an Intern Research Associate at the Digital Information Research Centre (DIRC), in order to work for the EU FP7 project called “PROACTIVE”. In the context of his undergrad thesis, he designed from scratch an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for aerial monitoring using image processing algorithms. In July 2019 he completed his postgraduate studies in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia, receiving his M.Sc. diploma in network security. In July 2021, he was accepted by the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering of the International Hellenic University, as a Ph.D. candidate.
Since November 2016 he has been working as a research associate at the Informatics and Telematics Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH).
His research interests focus on the development of data transfer protocols (Modbus, TCP, UDP, MQTT) in C ++ and Python, wireless networks, network security and cybersecurity.
