  • Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2006)
  • PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012)
Dr. Antonios X. Lalas received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. In 2012, he joined the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, as an Adjunct Lecturer. In 2013, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In October 2015, he joined Information Technologies Institute, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. His research interests include computational electromagnetics, computational fluid dynamics and particle tracing. In particular, these involve wireless power transfer based on metamaterial technology, as well as the assessment of particles influence into human lungs during asthma exacerbations. In addition, his research interests include RF circuits/antennas design, RF-MEMS, tunable and angle-independent metamaterial devices and absorbers, THz technology, and graphene applications.
