George Kalpakis joined the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Center for Research and Technology, Hellas (CERTH) in 2014 as a research assistant. He has previously worked as a computer programmer/web developer in several European projects at University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece (2006-2015) and at University of Southampton, UK (2010-2011). He has also worked as a Computer Science Instructor in several Technological Educational Institutes (T.E.I. of Central Macedonia and Thessaloniki), British Colleges (NYC, AMC, Mediterranean College), and Professional Training Institutes of Thessaloniki (2009-present). Furthermore, he has translated several Computer Science Academic books with Tziolas publications (2009-2014). His research interests focus on Web evolution analysis with graph theory, Web crawler study, and Information Retrieval on multimedia Web content.
