Dr. Ioannis Kostavelis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management of the International University of Greece. He has been a Researcher Grade C’ at the Information Technologies Institute of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas, (CERTH-ITI) from 2020 to 2022. He has also worked as a post-doctoral researcher at CERTH-ITI in the period 2015-2020 and during period 2011-2014 has been occupied as a research assistant at the Department of Production Engineering and Management of the Democritus University of Thrace.

His main research interests involve R&D in industrial robotic systems, robotic vision and cognitive perception, intelligent mechatronic systems, soft-robotic systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning and 3D printing applications for industrial environments. He has co-/authored more than 110 scientific publications in international refereed conferences and journals which have received more than 2200 citations.
