Mrs. Georgia Georgiou

  • MA in Museum Studies, University of Athens (2015)
She is an archaeologist-museologist and since 2020, she works as a research assistant at ITI/CERTH, on the development of Digital Heritage projects. She received her diploma degree in Archaeology and History of Arts and her master degree in Museum Studies, both from National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 2007 and 2015 respectively. Her master thesis is on industrial museums and the cultural adaptive reuse of industrial heritage. Since 2007, she conducts archaeological excavations in Attica, Greece. As a research assistant in ITI/CERTH she participates in the development of digital heritage projects. Her research interests include digital/ virtual museums, serious games, VR/AR for culture.
