Dr Dionysios Kehagias is a Research Director (grade A) with the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). His research interests lie on intelligent software systems and algorithms, AI agents, software engineering for AI applications, software security, time series forecasting, big data analytics, digital twins, cloud and edge computing, Internet of Things. Dr Kehagias served from 2000 to 2004 as a research assistant at the Intelligent Systems & Software Engineering Labgroup (founding member) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), conducting Phd research. After receiving his PhD (2006), he worked at CERTH/ITI, as a research associate and postdoc researcher until 2016. In 2016 he was elected associate researcher (grade C) in CERTH/ITI. He was promoted to the position of Principal Research (Grade B) in October 2020. Since March 2025 he serves as a Research Director. His research activity over the last 15 years was published in more than 150 publications in scientific journals and international conferences, and book chapters and he has received 4 awards. He has also participated with CERTH in more than 50 research and development projects funded both by the European Commission and the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (Greek national funding agency), as well as private service provision projects. Dr Kehagias also worked as an adjunct lecturer for two universities in Greece, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH, 2007-2008) and Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH, 2008-2009). He was also faculty member of the MSc in Web Science (2011-2013), and the MSc in Complex Systems and Networks (2014-2016), both at AUTH. Since 2021 he has been a co-founder and R&D director of CERTH’s spin-off company Delivery Galaxy.
