Dr Anastasios Dimou is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). He has significant work on multiple research domains covering computer vision, safety and security applications, remote sensing, video coding and bioinformatics. He has significant expertise in Deep Learning techniques in the fields above. The legal, ethical and privacy extensions of applications are of special interest to him. His work has led to the co-authoring of more than 40 publications in refereed international journals and conferences, including 8 journals, 32 conferences and 2 book chapters. He regularly acts as a reviewer for multiple conferences and journals in his domain. His responsibilities include project management, proposal preparation and R&D activities. He has been involved in 13 EU research projects undertaking significant roles. Among them, he has been Deputy Coordinator of FASTER (H2020 – Running), Quality Manager in GRACE (H2020 – Running), Technical Coordinator in ANITA (H2020 – Running), SURVANT (H2020-FTI), ADVISE (FP7), Scientific Advisor in ALADDIN (H2020 – Running).
