Professional Experience:

  1. Computer and Network Specialist, XIIth Mechanized Infantry Division, 11/2022 – 05/2023
    • Contributed in the administration and maintenance, control and monitoring of network operations and infrastructure of the Division’s local area network in a Windows Server 2016 vSphere ESXi environment. Provided technical support for the Information Systems of the Operation Headquarters of the Division and the local network. Micromanaged the reservist staff of the unit; Mentored and trained the new unit personnel in order to adapt and make use of their full potential in the Unit, as well as to the new office staff in IT.
  2. Full-Stack Developer, Dataverse Ltd., Thessaloniki, Greece 05/2022 – 07/2022
    • Contributed to the development of  ‘oncoEHR’, the first Electronic Health Records system for oncologists in Greece; Proposed and developed indicative aggregate indexes for the further improvement of the application. Designed the website for ‘oncoEHR’ using WordPress and its plugins, along with custom CSS and HTML edits.
  3. IT Manager, ROI Social Cooperative, Thessaloniki, Greece 11/2016, 11/2021
    • Contributed to materializing Greece’s largest annual middle education student conference (700 participants/year). Resolved connectivity issues in real-time, during the days of the conference. Involved in the digitalization of 3500+ applications. Wrote Python scripts to perform statistical analysis; Used regular expressions to load all attendees’ emails.

Project Experience:

  1. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Manuscript “Database Technology” Course
    • Designed an R* Tree in Java. Implemented n – dimensions, smart memory, and size allocation, as well as basic tree data structure operations. Collected and processed 17000 geospatial data, corresponding to real locations.
  2. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Manuscript “Information Retrieval” Course
    • Designed and developed a basic search engine in Python; Created a web crawler, an indexer, and a query processor; Crawled more than 200 URLs, handled 5000+ lines of data. Implemented multi-threaded programming and HTML scraping; Used TF-IDF and cosine similarity measures to extract information.
