Dr Ioannis Manakos, formerly serving as Secretary General and Co-Chairman of the Special Interest Group in Land Use & Land Cover, was elected as the new Chairman of the European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSeL). The EARSeL Council elected the new EARSeL Bureau for the next two years. Dr Samantha Lavender, the National Representative of the UK, was elected as the new Treasurer. Dr Rosa Lasaponara, former Treasurer and Newsletter Editor, was elected at the position of the Secretary General. Dr Lena Halounova, National Representative of the Czech Republic, was re-elected Vice-Chairman.
